Heat Transfer Print

Today we learnt how to use the technique called heat transfer print. This method includes painting on normal paper with ink, waiting for it to dry and and transferring the image from paper to fabric using the heat press.

This technique is simple and fun to do, however the colours aren’t always what they seem to be, and because of this, its hard to see what your doing, because you never know how it will turn out. One of my designs I used a leaf, using objects such a feathers, paperclips for example, create a nice print.

Also depending on the type of fabric you use, changes the brightness of the ink pigment once heat pressed into the fabric.
