Bonder Web and Appliqué

During our second stitch workshop, we learnt how to add bonder web to fabric for applique. This technique is fast and simple. The idea is to use bonder web before stitching fabric down to other fabric, because it might move and you might be left with it not being flat or straight. In order to complete this technique, we first ironed on the bonder wet to the fabric, sticky side facing the back of the fabric. Then once its cooled down, peel away the backing and cut out the shape. Once this has happened you can then iron it into place and stitch on top. Bonder web is not a permanent solution, so it is perfect for these samples.

From this workshop I learnt its much easier if you have a simple design.
