Autumn Festival

Today was the start of the Autumn Festival. I do not know much about this yet, however, I think it is about celebrating good health and wellbeing. And during the Festival everyone eats the mooncake, which we also tried today.

Firstly Hongbon took us to this awesome market place called South Luogu Lane. It was a huge market street filled with clothes shops, souvenirs, food and beauty products. We only walked down the main street but it was so busy that it took us a long time to even walk from one end to another.

Here are the photos that I took today:

Afterwards we caught the subway home and my brother arrived today in Beijing, so we met up with him and ordered in food with Hongbon and Landon. It was such an enjoyable day and I bought some lovely things including a new backpack, scarf and some interesting old fashioned postcards.
